Real-Time Monitoring and Line Balancing: A Productivity Leap

Together with our system integration partner, ESE, we demonstrated how real-time monitoring and line balancing can revolutionise productivity. By tackling bottlenecks head-on, we’ve unlocked significant gains. As Eliyahu M. Goldratt wisely said, “An hour lost at a bottleneck is an hour out of the entire system.” Bottlenecks permeate production processes, affecting throughput. With real-time line balancing, we swiftly identify bottlenecks and resolve them, resulting in an instant increase in line output.

Moving Up the Value Chain: A Call to Thai Manufacturers

In collaboration with the Thai Garment Manufacturers’ Association, Chalumpon hosted an event urging Thai manufacturers to ascend the value chain. As Thailand finds itself sandwiched between developed countries like Korea and emerging economies like Vietnam, the path forward lies in moving beyond OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) status. By embracing ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) or OBM (Original Brand Manufacturer) models, we can escape the middle-income trap and pave the way toward becoming a fully developed economy.
