Empowering the Future of Thai Textiles—Starting Today

Today, our Managing Director of VT Garment and Vice President of the Thai Garment Manufacturers’ Association, khun Chalumpon had the privilege of speaking to final and third-year students at Kasetsart University on the topic “Preparing for a Career in the Textile and Garment Industry of the Future.”

The session focused on the key trends shaping our industry—particularly the integration of AI, Smart Factory systems, and Industry 4.0 practices. In today’s world, factories must no longer operate as black boxes. Transparency in production and workflow is essential—it enables better decision-making and helps us reclaim time, our most limited resource.

I also shared how AI is here to assist, not replace. Human intuition, creativity, and critical thinking remain vital. While we embrace innovation, we must also continue to uphold the values and practices that have long sustained our industry.

“To shape a better future, we must first invest in those who will lead it.”

The Thai textile and garment industry remains a cornerstone of our economy—resilient, essential, and ready to lead in a rapidly changing world. At VT Garment, we are proud to support the next generation as they prepare to carry this legacy forward.

Thank you to Kasetsart University for the warm welcome and to all the students for your curiosity and engagement. The future starts today.
