VTG’s 34th QCC Event: Embracing the Kaizen Spirit and innovation
By Shark | Business | No Comments
On Saturday, 21st September, VTG proudly hosted its 34th QCC event, a testament to our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation. The event was marked by inspiring speeches, including a notable address that highlighted the transformative power of AI and the enduring importance of human collaboration.
Chalumpon’s Speech Highlights:
“It’s an honour to speak at our biannual QCC competition, a key part of our journey towards continuous improvement. The kaizen spirit, as emphasised in Steven Bartlett’s The Diary of a CEO, encourages us to embrace constant self-improvement—progress over perfection.
In production, AI is transforming processes by automating quality control and predicting equipment failures through predictive maintenance. AI-powered systems can detect defects more quickly and accurately than human inspection, reducing waste and downtime. Similarly, in office environments, AI helps by automating routine tasks and providing data-driven insights to enhance decision-making.
However, it’s essential to recognise the skills AI cannot replace—teamwork and problem-solving. While AI is a powerful tool, it lacks the creativity and collaboration that are fundamental to effective QCC projects. Our strength lies in bringing together diverse perspectives to solve complex problems, and it’s through teamwork and critical thinking that we achieve breakthroughs.
By integrating AI into QCC efforts, we enhance our ability to analyse data and streamline processes, but human ingenuity and collaboration remain at the heart of innovation. Let’s continue to embody the kaizen spirit, committing to ongoing growth and improvement.
As Steven Bartlett mentioned in his book, The Diary of a CEO, Tiger Woods dared to change his swing, a move that initially lowered his performance but later became pivotal in his career. This example underscores the importance of embracing change and striving for improvement, even when it involves temporary setbacks.
Thank you, and I look forward to seeing the innovations from today’s competition.”
The event underscored the importance of blending advanced technology with human creativity and teamwork. As we continue to integrate AI into our processes, we remain dedicated to fostering an environment where innovation thrives through collaboration and continuous improvement.
We look forward to the exciting innovations and solutions that will emerge from this year’s QCC competition. Let’s keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, together.
