We are thrilled to announce our ambitious goal to reach Level 2 of the Higg Index FEM by 2025. This journey begins with educating our team about the significance and steps required to achieve this milestone.
We recently collaborated with experts from BSI to train our members from production, purchasing, maintenance, sales, and HR. Through these sessions, we have learnt how to establish a baseline for greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, water usage, waste, and wastewater. This baseline is crucial for setting and achieving our sustainability targets. After all, we cannot improve what we cannot measure.
Our training also covered essential technical terms such as upcycling, various types of greenhouse gas emissions, wastewater discharge types, and air emission sources. We explored the pros and cons of different refrigerants, evaluating their impacts on ozone, greenhouse gases, and safety (flammability & toxicity). Additionally, we delved into the hierarchy of chemical controls and the preferred options in dealing with waste before recovery and landfill: reduce, reuse, then recycle.
We are excited to apply this knowledge in 2025 and beyond, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and the environment.
